Regular Season Round 12: Sigulda - Olomouc 43-123

Very expected game when bottom-ranked LatvianSigulda (0-9) was rolled over by seventh ranked Czech Olomouc (6-2) 123-43 on Friday. The game without a history. Olomouc led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sigulda to just 5 points in third quarter. Olomouc dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Sigulda 's 24. Olomouc forced 36 Sigulda turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 21 on the offensive glass. Olomouc looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sigulda 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Filip Prikryl who helped to win the game recording 26 points and Felix Heinz who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Olomouc players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Romans Brols with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Emils Vikmanis scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olomouc have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory Olomouc went down to 35th position due to points difference, which they share with Sokol Prazsky and Vodno Suns. Loser Sigulda still closes the standings with nine games lost.
